Mahjong Open Play -Chick-Fil-A In Bel Air Mall - Sat, Aug 22nd from 9am-11am

Join us for a free mahjong open play event inside the Bel Air Mall near the Chick-Fil-A from 9am to 11am. Note that the stores inside the mall don't actually open until 11am, but we will be using a special entrance near the security office to get into the mall for our 9am open play event. I will be sure to email instructions and photos of what this looks like. Once inside the mall, you'll walk to the Chick Fil A. They have 11 tables in the mall that are round and are the perfect size for mahjong. The Chick-Fil-A will be open at 9am and will serve breakfast items (though they don't have eggs or sausage). They do, however, have biscuits, coffee, fruit, and their delicious chicken biscuit sandwiches. Please plan to make a food and/or beverage purchase while you play to help support the restaurant. They are graciously hosting us and letting us use all of their tables before the mall even opens! **Mobile Mahjong Cancellation Policy** Cancel in Bam Good Time at least 24 hours before the event if you can no longer attend. Players who repeatedly cancel less than 24 hours before an event will (1) be contacted directly by Rachel (2) lose priority for future events and (3) will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist if an event fills. Waitlisted players who regularly attend events on time and have a history of reliable attendance will be given priority over players with repeated late cancellations. We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. This policy is intended to address repeated patterns of behavior, not occasional unavoidable circumstances. If you have never played mahjong before, let me help you find an upcoming mahjong 101 class so you can begin joining our free open play events. DM Rachel Helton for help. --I'm a beginner and still require guidance while I play. Should I come? Open play events are best for players who can play independently without guidance. I recommend attending a "guided play" event before coming to open play. Send a message to Rachel Helton on Facebook for help finding a guided play event. --Do I need to bring mahjong supplies? Bring your NMJL card and a small side table for your drinks/food. You can purchase a small side table at "5 below" for $6 or on Amazon. We typically crowd source supplies and have more than enough sets of tiles and cards for everyone. Don't worry if you don't have any mahjong supplies.
