Mahjong Guided Play Guided Play is the perfect next step after Mahjong 101! It gives new players the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned, play real games, and build confidence before joining regular open play. What to Expect: ● Real Game Experience: Play full games of American Mahjong at a standard four-person table. ● Guidance Along the Way: An experienced player or instructor will be at your table to answer questions and offer help as you play. ● Learn as You Play: Get hands-on guidance with reading the NMJL card, choosing a hand, the Charleston, calling tiles, and making exposures. ● Relaxed & Social: Enjoy a low-pressure environment where questions are encouraged and there’s time to learn the why behind each move. ● Everything Is Provided: Tiles, racks, mats, and cards are all supplied. Just show up and get ready to play! The goal? To move beyond the basics, gain confidence, and feel comfortable playing Mahjong on your own! Class Details • Time: Approximately 2–2.5 hours. • What to Bring: Nothing! All Mahjong tiles, racks, pushers, and cards will be provided. • Who Should Attend: Anyone who has learned the basics of American Mahjong but would feel more comfortable having a little guided practice before joining an open play game.
