Mahjong Open Play @ The University Piggly Wiggly_Weds, Aug 5th 5:30 - 8:30 pm _Hosted by Katy Yeend

**What: Join us for free mahjong open play at the Piggly Wiggly on University Blvd. **Where: We'll be playing in the dining area at the University Piggly Wiggly, located at the front of the store near the customer service desk. The space accommodates up to 40 players. **Details: Plan to arrive around 5:30 PM to grab dinner and get settled. Play will begin around 6:00 PM. Food and drinks are available for purchase onsite, including options from the Pig’s hot bar, Naman’s catering (fresh pizza in about 15 minutes or they will reheat their oven-ready meals!), Old Dutch Ice Cream, the Flying Pig coffee bar, and the grocery aisles. Alcohol is available for purchase and may be enjoyed on-site. Outside drinks, alcohol, and food are not permitted. You are, however, welcome to bring your own water bottles or cups. **Bring: Your 2026 NMJL card and a small side table for your food and drinks (if you have one). If you don't have a card, there will be extras for you to borrow **Note: This event is beginner-friendly, but intended for players who already know the basics and can play independently. **RSVP info: This is a free event, but an RSVP is required to ensure we have enough tiles. After we get a final count, I'll reach out to volunteers to bring tiles/racks/mats. If you need to cancel at any point -> please do so via the Bam Good Time website event. There is an option to "Cancel Reservation" when you click on the event. If there is a waitlist, this will automatically notify the next person of the open spot! Players who repeatedly cancel less than 24 hours before an event will (1) be contacted directly by Rachel (2) lose priority for future events and (3) will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist if an event fills. Waitlisted players who regularly attend events on time and have a history of reliable attendance will be given priority over players with repeated late cancellations. We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. This policy is intended to address repeated patterns of behavior, not occasional unavoidable circumstances.
